Air Model Special NO.16

Feature: In-Depth Analysis! F-4 Phantom II – Short Nose Variants

The world-famous “F-4 Phantom II” comes in three major versions: the short-nose type, the long-nose type with added armament (cannon) under the nose, and the reconnaissance type equipped with cameras. Each has its own sub-variants. However, many modelers often confuse these versions, misunderstand their differences, or simply accept errors found in kits without question. In fact, few people have a clear and accurate understanding of these distinctions. In the upcoming *Air Model Special No.16*, coinciding with the release of Zoukei-Mura’s 1/48 scale F-4J Phantom II, we will focus on the short-nose Phantom. Through detailed model builds, abundant reference photos, technical drawings, and illustrations, we will thoroughly analyze each short-nose variant.
