《14403》1/144 F-8Eスピードブレーキセット（モデルアートF-8E用・2機セット）

F- 8Eのスピードブレーキ・ECMアンテナ（ALQ-51,ALQ-100・サブエアインテークを3Dモデリング・3Dプリントで再現しました。

主脚庫前のスピードブレーキを開状態にするパーツです。モデルアートのF-8Eに合わせて形状を調整 しています。スピードブレーキは、胴体下面に接地されているため、駐機状態では全開にすることができません。（フライトマニュアルには、着陸アプローチ中にスピードブレーキを閉じる指示が書かれています）当キットでは、20°開いた状態としています。
※キットのモールドラインに沿って、胴体下面を切除する作業が必要になります
※スピードブレーキ内部の内壁の構造や配管・配線の取り回しなど、完全な資料がなかったため、一部はイメージになっています。御了承ください

垂直尾翼上部に設置されるECMアンテナを2種類、再現しました。F-8Eに取り付けられた単純な卵形のALQ-51と、F-8Jを中心に取り付けられた紡錘型のALQ-100の2種類のパーツのいずれかを選択して取り付けてください。

F-8は垂直尾翼基部に、アフターバーナー冷却用のエアスクープとして、サブエアインテークが取り付けられています。板材を曲げて組み立てたような特徴的な形状になっていて、F-8C/DなどとF-8E/Jではそのディテールは異なっています。当 パーツでは、F-8E/Jで見られる形状を再現しました。

《14403》1/144 F-8E Speed Brake Set (for Model Art F-8E, 2 Aircraft Set)

This detail-up set reproduces the F-8E speed brake, ECM antennas (ALQ-51 and ALQ-100), and the auxiliary air intake using high-resolution 3D modeling and 3D printing technology.

The speed brake is designed to be displayed in the deployed position beneath the forward main landing gear bay and has been specifically designed to fit the Model Art F-8E kit.
Because the speed brake contacts the ground when the aircraft is parked, it cannot be fully opened on the ground. (The flight manual also instructs pilots to close the speed brake during the landing approach.) This set represents the speed brake opened approximately 20 degrees, providing an accurate parked configuration.
*Installation requires cutting away the lower fuselage along the kit's molded panel lines.
*Due to the lack of complete reference material for the internal structure, piping, and wiring of the speed brake bay, some interior details have been recreated based on available references and informed interpretation.

Two types of ECM antenna mounted on top of the vertical fin are included. Choose either the simple oval-shaped ALQ-51 fitted to the F-8E or the streamlined ALQ-100 commonly fitted to the F-8J.

The F-8 features an auxiliary air intake at the base of the vertical fin for afterburner cooling. This distinctive sheet-metal structure differs between early variants such as the F-8C/D and later F-8E/J aircraft. This set accurately reproduces the configuration found on the F-8E/J.
