《7241》1/72 F-8E/Jエンジンセット

F-8E/Jのエンジンノズルとサブエアインテークを3Dモデリング・3Dプリントで再現しました。

F-8はJ57-P-20を搭載していました。プラット・アンド・ホイットニー社ではJT3Cの名称で呼ばれています。
F-8の資料を確認すると、ノズルのアイリスを覆うカバー部分には3種類ほどの形状が存在しますが、本製品ではF-8E/Jに見られる、アイリスが全開時に円筒形に収まるタイプを再現しています。アイリスはほぼ閉状態で造形しています。
オグメンタのパイプやフレームホルダーも再現しています。

垂直尾翼基部にあるエンジン冷却用サブエアインテークも再現。板金を曲げて組み立てたような特徴的形状で、F-8C/Dとは異なるF-8E/Jタイプです。
機首右側のベーン式AOAセンサーも付属します。

アカデミー製1/72 F-8E/Jに無加工で使用可能。
エンジンノズルは機体後端から差し込み可能です。

《7241》1/72 F-8E/J Engine Set

This set reproduces the engine nozzle and sub air intake of the F-8E/J using 3D modeling and 3D printing technology.

The F-8 was powered by the J57-P-20 engine, also known as JT3C by Pratt & Whitney.
Reference materials show that there are approximately three variations of the nozzle iris cover. This product replicates the type used on the F-8E/J, where the iris forms a cylindrical shape when fully open. The iris is modeled in a nearly closed position.
Details such as the augmenter pipes and frame holders are also included.

The engine cooling sub air intake located at the base of the vertical stabilizer is also reproduced. It features a distinctive sheet-metal-like structure, different from the F-8C/D, and specific to the F-8E/J.
A vane-type AOA sensor for the right nose side is also included.

Designed to fit the Academy 1/72 F-8E/J kit without modification.
The engine nozzle can be inserted from the rear after fuselage assembly.
